Privacy Policy

Effective: August 19, 2026

Who we are

RemoteComet ("we", "us") is a recruiting and job-matching platform operated by Dolaamen Group, LLC. We connect candidates with remote employment opportunities, both roles we represent directly and roles aggregated from hiring companies and partner networks. For privacy matters, contact privacy@remotecomet.com.

What we collect

When you apply or create a profile: email address, name, phone, country and timezone, CV or professional profile link, work history, skill assessment results, and your communications with us. Automatically: IP address, browser information, and usage data. We never ask for your salary history.

Why we process it (legal bases)

To match you with roles and submit your application to employers, with your consent and in preparation of a potential employment contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b)); to run and secure the platform (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)); and to send you role matches and application updates. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Confidential roles and sharing

Some listings do not name the employer. We only reveal your profile to a hiring company after you apply to a specific role, which authorizes us to represent you for that role. We share data with service providers (hosting, email, assessment scoring) under data processing agreements. For aggregated listings from partner networks, applying routes your application to that network or employer under their privacy terms, always indicated on the listing. We never sell your personal information.

Retention

Candidate profiles are retained while your account is active and for 24 months after your last activity, so we can match you with future roles, then deleted or anonymized. You may request deletion at any time.

Your rights

Wherever you are: access, correction, deletion, and a copy of your data via privacy@remotecomet.com. EU/EEA/UK residents additionally have GDPR rights to restriction, portability, objection, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell or share personal information as defined by that law, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals. We do not discriminate against anyone exercising privacy rights.

International transfers

We operate globally; data is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt) and may be processed in the United States by our providers under Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies for site operation. No advertising trackers are set by this site today; if that changes, we will update this policy and request consent where required.

Changes

We will post any changes here with an updated effective date. Material changes will be notified to registered candidates by email.
